- In the Cross of Christ I Glory
towering over the wrecks of time,
all the light of sacred story
gathers round its head sublime.
The words of the Hymn above were the inspiration for this picture which I painted while a student on the YWAM School of Illustration in 1997. Before the Cross of Christ all human accomplishment pale into insignificance. in the picture is depicted Ceasar and Napoleon who during there lifetime created empires and were portrayed raising their hands as if to say "Look at me!" but in this picture I have showed them pointing to Jesus and the Cross.
